DAY 01, 08 October: In Transit
Overnight flight to Switzerland

DAY 02, 09 October: Arrival at Zurich Airport
Arrival at Zurich airport and private transfer (approx. 15min) to a hotel in the city center. If time permits enjoy a first city stroll with your tour guide or just free time.

DAY 03, 10 October: Zurich
Guided city tour by foot: visit interesting places like the Old Town, the world-famous shopping street Bahnhofstrasse, the Augustinergasse - one of the most beautiful old, narrow streets with many colourfully painted oriel windows, the Grossmünster, the St. Peter church with the largest clock face of Europe, the Lindenhof which provides a glorious view of the Old Town and a lot more. Free afternoon.

DAY 04, 11 October: Zurich to Basel
Morning: After breakfast, we will leave Zurich by private coach to Rheinfall (approx. 1h drive), the biggest waterfall in Europe. Discover the Castle and enjoy a short cruise.


After lunch, continue by private coach to Basel (approx. 2hrs drive).

Afternoon: guided city tour in Basel by foot. You will learn details about urban development, events from history, cultural and economic influences that forged the city. Basel is both proud and very aware of its history, but at the same time receptive to everything new.

DAY 05, 12 October: Basel
Morning: By train travel into the famous wine region of Lavaux near Lausanne in the French part of Switzerland (approx. 1h). Take a walk through some of the most beautiful scenery in Switzerland: the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard terraces are crisscrossed with marked trails with stunning views over Lake Geneva and the Alps (approx. 2 hrs). Enjoy Lunch and a wine tasting at a local winery.

Afternoon: Visit the Olympic Museum in Lausanne which houses permanent and temporary exhibits relating to sport and the Olympic movement including the largest archive of Olympic Games in the world. Return to Bern by public transportation.

DAY 06, 13 October: Basel - Bern - Interlaken
Morning: Enjoy a guided city excursion through Bern (approx. 2hrs). The old town of Bern is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and thanks to its 6 kilometers of arcades a very unique place.


After lunch continue to Interlaken by private coach (approx. 1h) and enjoy some free time before an exciting excursion for dinner:

Travel by cable car to Harder Kulm to have dinner on the 'Top of Interlaken'. The restaurant looks like a small castle, and it is located 1322 meters (4340 feet) above sea level.

Interlaken’s local mountain – the Harder Kulm – offers the best views of Interlaken as well as of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. And for those with a head for heights, the Two-lake Footbridge, which opened in October 2011, is the ideal vantage platform.

After dinner return to Interlaken and a short walk back to the hotel.

DAY 07, 14 October: Hiking the Bernese Oberland
Active day, visiting and hiking on one of the famous mountains of the region. Be ready and bring your hiking boots to explore the fabulous nature, flora and fauna in the Bernese Oberland.

By public transport, you go to Wengen and up to Männlichen from where you follow the easy and impressive high-Alpine trail. Walking at the same level along the east flank of the Tschuggen, you reach Honegg and take the loop skirting the rocky lower slopes of the Lauberhorn to Rotstöcki, from where it’s only a short distance to Kleine Scheidegg (2061 m).

From this location, there is an excellent view of the majestic Jungfrau mountain range.

Note: approximately 1.5 hours of hiking (5km), easy Lunch and return to Grindelwald; some free time before returning to Interlaken for dinner.

DAY 08, 15 October: Botanical Garden & Swiss Chocolate
Morning: A train and an exciting cogwheel railway ride take you up to Schynige Platte at almost 2000 meters. Today we will go to a Botanical Alpine Garden where the famous Swiss Edelweiss grows with the black lobelia, the paradise lily and around 650 other species in an easily accessible environment. Visitors can see two-thirds of the entire alpine flora on an approximately one-kilometre long walk. Lunch and return to Interlaken.


Afternoon: Visit The Grand Café Restaurant Schuh in the heart of Interlaken to see at first hand how chocolate products are made and even try your own hand at being a chocolatier.

Experience the unforgettable magic of seeing how the finest chocolate specialities are made from a liquid mixture.

DAY 09, 16 October: Interlaken to Lucerne
In the morning travel by boat and public bus to Ballenberg. Enjoy the cruise through crystal clear glacier waters on Lake Brienz which takes you past picturesque fishing villages and castles steeped in history. Discover the Ballenberg Open-Air Museum with almost 100 original buildings from all parts of the country, traditional Swiss crafts and customs.

Romantically luxurious farm gardens and native animal species enliven the scenery and add the finishing touches to an amazingly authentic atmosphere.


Continue traveling to Lucerne (by train 1.5hrs) and enjoy a free afternoon.

DAY 10, 17 October: Lucerne City Tour & Mount Pilatus
Morning: Enjoy a city tour by foot with a local guide. We visit world-famous sights such as the Chapel Bridge with the octagonal Water Tower, the Jesuit Church and the KKL Luzern (Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne). On the tour, you will learn important and humorous facts about the history of Lucerne and the everyday life of its residents.


Afternoon: You will enjoy a boat trip on Lake Lucerne and a view of the surrounding mountains. The amazement continues. In Alpnachstad you will board the steepest cogwheel railway in the world to reach the summit. At 2,132 meters above sea level, you will be received by the inimitable Pilatus warmth. You will glide down to Kriens on the aerial cableway «Dragon Ride» and on the Panorama gondolas. From the valley station, it is a five-minute walk to the stop for Bus no. 1 and a convenient ride to Lucerne.

DAY 11, 18 October: Victorix and Glacier Express
By private coach from Lucerne to Andermatt via Brunnen (approx. 2hrs). En route, discover the home region of the world-famous Swiss pocketknife and enjoy a guided visit of the Victorinox Museum.

From Andermatt, we board the famous Glacier Express, the slowest fast express train of the World to St. Moritz (approx. 5hrs). Lunch before or on the train. Enjoy the views of the richly varied Swiss countryside. Your luggage will be transported separately from Andermatt train station to your hotel in St. Moritz.

DAY 12, 19 October: St. Moritz & Diavolezza
Discover St. Moritz on a guided city walk: one of the most famous holiday destinations in the world, twice host city for the Winter Olympics and UNESCO World Heritage site, located at about 2000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the spectacular Upper Engadin lakes district.

Take a short train ride by famous Bernina Express and a cable car up to Diavolezza for lunch.

This is the best vantage point for viewing one of the most beautiful panoramas in the Alps.

Transfer back by gondola and train to St. Moritz. Walk to the hotel and enjoy some free time.

DAY 13, 20 October: Tyrolean Alps
Today you will cross the border to Austria by private coach. On the way to Innsbruck, we will visit Seefeld, a famous holiday resort in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps. This Olympic region offers a huge variety of sports and recreational activities to ensure a truly memorable break amid a breathtaking mountain landscape.

Take a walk or a mountain railway to an alpine hut (e.g. Panoramarestaurant Rosshütte) to have lunch before continuing to Innsbruck to enjoy some free time before dinner.

DAY 14, 21 October: Innsbruck City Tour and Lake Achensee
Guided city tour of Innsbruck: From the sights in the historic old town, such as the Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace and the medieval City Tower, to destinations such as Ambras Castle.

After lunch, a private coach will take us to Lake Achensee, Tyrol's largest lake. We will enjoy a cruise on the lake and have lunch before driving on to Salzburg where we will spend the next 3 nights.

DAY 15, 22 October: Salzburg
Guided city tour of Salzburg: Palaces, parks, museums, churches and nature – the beauty of Salzburg lies in its many different faces. Immerse yourself in the city’s rich history and countless personal stories, as you get to know this internationally acclaimed World Heritage-listed city from its most charming, historical and cultural side (approx. 2hrs).

DAY 16, 23 October: Berchtesgaden in Germany
After breakfast, we will drive to Berchtesgaden by private coach. Dive into the world of salt in the Berchtesgaden Salt Mines (1517) and enjoy a unique atmosphere deep in the Bavarian Alps. A miners' train will take you 650 meters (2,133 feet) into the mountain itself, where a gigantic salt cathedral with a spectacular miner's slide awaits. 3D animations depicting the mining of salt are presented in an exciting way and the one hour tour, as well as the boat trip across the underground salt lake, provides an unforgettable experience beneath the ground for young and old alike.

Enjoy lunch in the pretty old town of Berchtesgaden.

Afternoon: The so-called "Eagle's Nest" was built as a 50th birthday present to Adolf Hitler.

Join us for a detailed historical account of the construction and use of the Eagle's Nest, a unique mountaintop conference center, as well as for a driving tour of the Obersalzberg area, the site of Hitler's former residence and second seat of power. A visit to the underground bunker system gives an idea of the monumental scale of the former headquarters compound in the German Alps.*

Drive back to Salzburg by private coach.

As a special Farewell enjoy a Mozart Dinner Concert: By visiting this performance you will be taken back to Mozart’s time. Enjoy an evening likely to have taken place in 1790 - in the Baroque Hall lit by candles, having a dinner based on historical recipes, listening to a concert with musicians in authentic costumes and the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
